As availability is limited, we recommend that programs be reserved as far in advance as possible. Groups that arrive at the museum for self-guided tours without reservations will not receive the group discount.

• Your program selection
• Your preferred date(s) and possible alternatives
• The number of students and chaperones (see below).

Following a confirmed reservation, a packet will be mailed to you. Please review the information carefully.  Be sure to call us if anything is incorrect.

Payment Methods

Checks: Made out to Harvard University. Bring your check with you the day of your visit.

Credit Cards: MC, VISA, or AMEX

Purchase Orders: Arrange at least one week before your visit with the Education Department. 

Cash: Can be paid at the time of your visit; large bills please.

Cancellations

Notify the Education Department immediately by phone. Groups canceling within two weeks prior to a scheduled program will be charged the full program fee.

Parking

Bus drop-off and pick-up is permitted, but there is no bus parking available on the museum grounds. Please refer to the confirmation packet for complete parking information.

Chaperones

One adult chaperone is required for every five students. Chaperones must stay with their students at all times and are responsible for the safety and proper conduct of the group.

Lunch options

We do not have a snack bar or dining facilities. Your group may eat on the lawn in front of the museum. During inclement weather, groups may eat in our lobby area. Lobby space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Museum Shop

The Museum Shop offers many interesting and educational items that can spark curiosity and extend the learning experience. Prices start at $1. Our Shop staff are specially trained to expedite this portion of your visit. Please have chaperones stay with students when visiting the Shop.
