Begin in Petropavlovsk, Kamchatka and cruise southward along the Kamchatka Peninsula crowned with 300 volcanoes. In Zodiacs, trace the stunning coast and watch for seals, brown bears, and horned puffins. Sea otters and their pups may gather in the Kuril Strait as we sail among the rugged and rarely visited Kuril Islands surrounded by swirling mists and soaring volcanoes. Ashore visit stunning lakes and lagoons, hidden harbors with ghost-like WWII remains, and beaches covered with northern fur seals and Steller's sea lions. On Russia's tiny Tyuleniy Island observe astonishing numbers of wildlife, and on Sakhalin Island a Russian town welcomes us with a traditional choir performance.
