| We begin in the highlands of western Belize, blanketed with lush jungle and home to exotic wildlife and hundreds of species of birds. Numerous rivers and streams have carved out caves and caverns that we can explore by foot, by boat, or by inner tube. We travel to the mysterious Mayan ruins of Tikal, in neighboring Guatemala. Then Cruise to South Water Caye, a small island on the Belize Barrier Reef (second in size only to Australia’s Great Barrier Reef), an ideal base to snorkel and explore the reef. Discover powder-white sandy beaches and warm, clear waters, home to an astounding array of corals and tropical fish. Throughout our trip we stay in charming, intimate lodges, just big enough to accommodate our group.
