Join Emily Standen on a journey to see the wildlife, birds, and flora of Panama. Spend the day hiking in La Amistad International Park, a World Biosphere Reserve, renowned as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Search for the Resplendent Quetzal, howler monkeys, and wild avocados on the side of Baru Volcano. Learn about the lifeways of the Kuna Indians as we travel by dugout canoe and snorkel among the clear waters and marine life of the San Blas Islands. Travel up the Chagres River as we explore the wildlife of the Panama Canal Watershed in Chagres National Park. No trip to Panama is complete without a journey up the Panama Canal. Co-leading this trip is Rich Merritt, the Director of Operations for Audubon New York.
