Witness firsthand many of the natural wonders of Alaska, a place the Aleut called the “Great Land.” Our unique itinerary showcases islands and coastlines
of the Bering Sea and Russia, rich with North Pacific wildlife—seabirds, walrus, Arctic fox, fur seals, and bears. In the ocean, pods of whales congregate: minke, orca, fin, sei, and humpback. And the vast impressive landscapes—from pristine coves and beaches to open tundra and soaring mountains—serve as dramatic and photogenic backdrops to this remarkable adventure. We are the welcome guests of a Siberian Yupik community before we cross the Arctic Circle right on the International Date Line—a feat few adventurers can claim—and disembark in Nome. In the Pribilof Islands, some 750,000 breeding northern fur seals are testimony to the protection of a species nearly hunted to extinction. Watch for bears along the hidden bays of Katmai National Park and step ashore in Kodiak, the first capital of Russia’s North American colonies.
