#### Film Screening and Discussion with Daniel Schrag, Peter Huybers, and James Anderson

Attend a free public screening of the award-winning documentary Chasing Ice (2012, directed by Jeff Orlowski), the story of National Geographic photographer James Balog's epic journey through the Arctic in search of undeniable visual evidence of climate change. Overcoming seemingly insurmountable weather conditions and technical challenges, Balog and his team of young adventurers deployed time-lapse cameras in four Arctic locations: Alaska, Greenland, Iceland, and Montana. The evidence is stunning and alarming, as we witness some of the world’s most massive glaciers diminish over the course of several years - breaking off and falling into the oceans. The screening will be followed by a conversation with Harvard climate scientists, James Anderson, Professor of Atmospheric Chemistry; Peter Huybers, Assistant Professor in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences; and Professor Daniel Schrag (moderator), Director of the Harvard University Center for the Environment. The screening is made possible with support from National Geographic Channels.
