Walk-ins will not be permitted. ### [Leer en español](#es) Learn more about this joyful holiday, a national symbol of Mexico. Enjoy craft activities for the young and young at heart. Personalize a sugar skull (extra fee), learn about the natural history of Mexico, watch live folk dance and mariachi performances, purchase traditional *pan de muerto*, hot chocolate or specialty cocktails. Contribute your message of love to honor and celebrate the lives of the departed at the museum’s altars. *Catrinas* and *catrines* are welcome. ### Starting at 5:00 pm - View altars and contribute a message of love. - Meet visiting artist [Pedro Mendoza Ortega](https://hmsc.harvard.edu/pedro-mendoza-ortega/) from Oaxaca, Mexico to learn about the papier-mâché creations on the altars. - Mexican figurines: browse a selection of *alebrijes* from Oaxacan artist Norberto Fabian. Carvings are available for purchase. - Search the Peabody Museum and the connected Harvard Museum of Natural History for Mexican flags marking animals, flowers, and minerals from the country. - Snack on *pan de muerto* ($4) and hot chocolate ($5). - Specialty cocktails and mocktails are available for purchase. ### 5:30–8:30 pm - Mariachi Veritas and Harvard RAZA Ballet Folklorico performances - Kids mask, paper flower, and papel picado banner crafts - Natural History of Mexico demonstrations - Sugar skull decorating ($5 small or $10 large) *Free admission.
