Shells are endlessly fascinating, with an incredible variety of their forms, patterns, and colors, making them great subjects to draw. In this 2-hour workshop, we’ll look closely at museum specimens to explore techniques for capturing them with pencil and paper, focusing particularly on the three-dimensional “architecture” of the shell and using shading to capture volume and depth. Class size will be limited, allowing ample time for individual feedback.
