How do sea snakes eat, breathe and reproduce in an aquatic environment? How, exactly, does a rattlesnake inject venom into its prey? Why do some harmless snakes look remarkably similar to their venomous brethren? MCZ Herpetology Department curatorial assistant, Joe Martinez, will show participants skulls, skeletons, and skins from Harvard’s vast collections, and help them understand these fascinating animals. See unusual specimens from all over the world and have the opportunity to touch a live snake.

Fees: $40 members/$50 nonmembers. [Advance registration required](https://reservations.hmsc.harvard.edu/Info.aspx?EventID=11).
