DESCRIPTION:<p>	<drupal-media data-entity-type="media" data-entity-uuid="84bf29e0-0a4a-404d-9a81-64c70b1f5347" alt="Image for Becoming Invisible in the Ocean lecture with Margaret NcFall-Ngai" data-view-mode="hwp_medium"></drupal-media></p><p>	<strong>Margaret McFall-Ngai</strong>, Professor and Director,  Pacific Biosciences Research Center, University of Hawai`i at Mānoa</p><p>	Until recently, biologists considered bacteria to be pathogens that negatively affected the health of humans and other animals. <!--break-->Over the last decade, however, scientists have discovered that most animals live with bacteria in mutually beneficial relationships.
