Intended for high school educators

Through careful inspection and data collection using digital images of Museum of Comparative Zoology specimens, and analysis of phylogenies, participants will explore the concept of convergent evolution in legless reptiles and amphibians.

Session is free but a refundable deposit of $50 is required.

Stipends and free programs:

Each participant will receive a $50 stipend upon completing the PD program. They will also be eligible for free virtual programs (through June 2021) for their students, that are related to the PD they have completed. These programs will be taught by HMNH educators.

PDPs

In order to earn PDPs, participants must complete at least ten hours of training. This can include any combination of PD sessions and classroom teaching. One PD session and associated pre- and post-work = 5 PDPs. One PD session + teaching the lesson to your class (including our virtual lesson for your classroom) = 10 PDPs.
