Please email <a href="mailto:hmnhreserve@hmsc.harvard.edu">Reservations</a> to be added to the waitlist.</strong></p><p>	Learn how to create and care for your own gray squirrel taxidermy mount. Utilizing specimens that have already been skinned, salted, and tanned for longevity, you will learn how to carve your own foam form for the head, wrap a wood excelsior mannikin for the body, sew, pose, and finish the mount. You will leave with a finished taxidermy mount that can dry at home and will require pin removal and periodic grooming and care before being put on display. This workshop will give you a broad overview of the taxidermy process and provide you with a basic foundation on which to build your skills, including hands-on help from your instructor to ensure you leave with the best finished mount possible. Specimens were culled in 2016 as part of a pest removal project, are unusable for food, and can now be used for educational purposes. Please note that program time includes a one-hour break for lunch.</p><p>	Ages 18+ welcome. No experience is necessary, but basic hand-sewing skills may be helpful  for the finishing process.</p>
