SUMMARY:All Creatures Small–A Papier Mâché Workshop
DESCRIPTION:
Instructor: Artist Gail Boyajian

Location: Harvard Museum of Natural History, Classroom B (Third Floor)

Price: $175 members / $220 nonmembers

Over five half-days, artist Gail Boyajian will guide you from start to finish as you build and paint a papier mâché animal using everyday materials. Inspired by the HMNH museum galleries, students will choose a favorite bird, insect, small mammal, reptile, or amphibian to create, build the form, then apply color and markings with paint, paper, or pencil. We will complement the art-making process with visits to the museum galleries as well as the research collections. Students will be encouraged to learn about the natural history of the animal they choose. All materials are included. The group will be limited to 8 participants, allowing ample time for individual feedback. All skill levels are welcome.

This class is for adults.
