DESCRIPTION:<p>Visit HMNH's Earth &amp; Planetary Sciences gallery for Earth Science Week!<br>Tuesday, October 14 (3:30) - Explore some of the wonders of Harvard's gem collection with Dr. Raquel Alonso-Perez, Curator of Harvard's Mineralogical &amp; Geological Museum.</p><p>Wednesday, October 15 - National Fossil Day! Visit the museum anytime in the afternoon to explore fossils with experienced volunteers. Graduate student paleontologists will be in the museum to share some of their favorite fossils with visitors from 1:00-2:00 pm and from 3:00-5:00 pm.</p><p>All week - Visit the galleries to learn how scientists map faults and try to predict earthquakes, trace our planet's history in the "Earth through Time" display, and touch a meteorite from outer space that's 4.6 billion years old.</p>
